Third Time's the Charm!! Georgia, Here We Come!

 Sunday, August 7, 2022 Oh boy!  Without the sun in my face I can sleep all the way to 7:30 and there's nowhere we have to be right away!  Ammar is up early, too, for a change, and after a while he goes to the cave while I do my yoga and morning stuff.  Then I meet him and we have breakfast.  Okay, this is actually from last night, out our window. One of the few times I've really missed my big camera!! My new addiction, but only when I travel and it's FREE! I can finish it all if they leave out the omelet!  Ammar has, basically, a toasted cheese sandwich.  Just another version of his normal bread and cheese. We are interrupted by a text message from Ammar's older son, Hussein, saying that Mohammad, his younger brother, is in the hospital in a diabetic coma.  It's his second one. There's not much more frightening than your child in danger.  Arrangements have to be made and I suggest that Ammar might need to go home.  He says, "No".  ...

 Saturday, August 6, 2022 I really wanted to sleep in this morning;  I sure could have used it!  Stupid body clock doesn't have a reset button!  Ammar was up early, too, and we decided to do a little walkabout in the quiet of Borjomi before breakfast.  There was no one on the streets! The loudest noise was the rushing river, which we can hear from our room. Yesterday when Ammar was cruising the city he found an interesting building he wants to show me.  It is quite cool and is being renovated.  There is so much new building and building preservation going on all over the country, even large highway projects.                                                                     See (hear?) how loud this is!  Friday, August 5, 2022 Good little dobees that we are, we're packed and downstairs before our scheduled pick-up time of 7;50! We're the first of the two couples going on today's adventure and we have a new guide from Budget Georgia. Turns out he's the nephew of our new best friend, the guy that thought we were an hour late in Batumi!  Fun! Bye-Bye Liliana's Apartments The other couple is from Slovenia and they are fascinating!  They don't know it;  but they're UUs!  We had some great conversations.  And they sure make Slovenia sound like a grand place to visit, and one that most Americans haven't discovered yet. We stop briefly for coffee and then for a scheduled stop so we can try the special bread that's make in this region.
